First Reply!!

Bought my first BMW 2 years ago (K12RS)...

Love my K12S--doing the 600 mile service this weekend..... Can't wait to really start winding it up!

My R1200S will be here in 2 weeks (Red and Silver of course)!!

My question is--why Wouldn't you buy another BMW? I know a few people have had issues, but the'06 model seems to be on the right track....

I used to think the GS was the ugliest bike ever made, but they've really grown on me over the last year and I can see one in my garage in the future.

This is my 2nd BMW. Yes, I would buy another "K" model.

But, there are some other bikes I would consider.

BMW's I want 'New" GT or S

Others: Aprilia Touno or Ducati 999, Triumph 900 scrambler.

On my second BMW but this is my first "K". Really enjoy the bike but there are a few issues that should have been worked out before the bike hit production.

Third Beemer here. First was a R1100S, great bike! Second a 1200GS, Awesome bike..hated the wind buffeting, and now a K12R (I know...I'm cross posting)

in a NY city second Id buy again!

I'd entertain other marques, but they'd have to be on the exotic high-end side. Lost count of how many I've owned over the last 33 years. Started on a R50/2, traded in on a '73 long-wheelbase R75/5 Toaster, other R bikes including a '74 R90S, '04KGT, and now a couple of S's. Sweet rides all!

Ride a GS and be prepared to be impressed........it handles great. Sit a little tall though and I'm 6'0"
