Turning off the headlight

Can someone please post the step-by-step guide for how to turn-off the headlight? I have a track-day tomorrow morning and races in the afternoon @ Pocono FUSA and would like to run with the light off (even though it will be taped anyway).

Thanks in advance!

Press cancel button for 6 seconds, then press right indicator button for another 6 seconds.

Gotta restart bike to get it to turn back on

Does the engine have to be running, or does the bike have to be in power-up mode with the engine off, or does it not matter?

Thanks.

I know it works with the engine running. Never tried it any other way, but...

Engine must be running, otherwise the self-diagnosis will reset it and turn it back on.
