06' K1200S without ABS

Just got a call from my dealer. I placed an order in April for an 06' KS without ABS. Dealer tells me that BMW cancelled the order. Said there will be no more KS's without ABS. Huh? Not sure if that means from here on out that all K bikes will have ABS or only the remaining 06's. The dealer also claims to have done a search for any 06' KS's without ABS and they came back dry for the US. So I would ask any of you if you happen to stumble across one at your local dealership to please alert me. Guess if none show up I can wait for the 07's and hope they have the new ABS system that the R1200S has. One in black would work better anyway.

It never rains where you live? :wtf

ABS is a life saver. No one, I reapeat no one, can consistantly out perform ABS in wet or slippery conditions (ice, gravel) in a panic situation. Heck, reports have even shown that people without ABS brake more gently (even in a panic situation) for fear of locking up the tyre.

It is not the ABS I hate. It is the servo assist that comes with them I will not purchase. If the 07's get the same system as the R1200S has currently I will wait for an 07'.

Bingo ! With the assistance of the another dealer I have my bike. Will be flying in and riding it back home some 1600 miles. What a way to start a love affair.
