LT discontinued?

Is it true that LT is going to be discontinued after 2009?

Take care!

It'd be very untypical for BMW to release/leak any info regarding its production so far ahead in the future - their reps usually deny evidence about what they're going to do in a few weeks, so you can't really tell...

But the logical thing is to expect a new LT equipped with the "new" engine soon enough - I don't think keeping the old one in production for just one model is compatible with a rational production process...

Ha ha. Seriously, BMW does not make product announcements like this until the very last moment. I've had several discussions with BMW Motorrad USA and there's been no decision one way or the other. The 2008 production run will be very short, and the LT in 2008 will be unchanged from 2007

I was with El Jeffe at the Intl. Moto Show in Ft. Worth while he badgered the ever loving goat snot out of a BMW Marketing Rep about the new LT. Racehorse Haynes woulda been proud as the Jeffster changed the wording of his questions trying to trip the feller up. After that torture, I'm sure them boys won't be saying anythang off cuff.
