ive often wondered the same thing.

the kawi is especially ugly.

but then again, the same people who own these types of bikes are the ones who say BMW's are ugly...so to each his own, i guess.

Its all personal opinion. The ultimate proof of their appeal will of course be in sales success or failure. I like some of them more than others. I won't be buying any of them.

Keep in mind there were a number of "focus groups" who looked over different options and agreed that these were the best to put forward for final approval.

Excluding blind people from focus groups might be politically incorrect, but somehow I feel it'd give more accurate results...

Those are hideous but many of David Robb's designs have been pretty sad too. A Mussino Tamburini he is not.

While I admit... these are prime examples of designs gone horribly wrong...and those who came up with them should be publicly beaten... one must also look at some of the BMW's before casting aspersions... Other than the people who buy them.. most agree that the new K1200R is rather...er... "visually challenged".. Virtually every magazine agrees...Even the German rags hate the look!! That's saying a lot.. The headlight is otherworld scary and lest we not forget the babboon-ass tail light..arguably (besides the new Hayabusa tail light) the ugliest single motorcycle part every designed...

and of course.. the ugliest motorcycle ever built.. the R1200GS...

I think all the good designers live in Italy...I wish Germany would hire a couple..
