New F800GS

Check out the latest F800 model:

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/23nov...2008f800gs.htm

Allegdedly under 400 pounds. Wonder if it will be priced like the other F800s.

Showed up at the motorcycle show last weekend in San Mateo, Calif.

Came with the normal seat, but a low seat is available. Can't flat-foot it, but I can hold it upright with me on the balls of my feet...not too bad. Felt fairly light compared to the R1200GS.

They wouldn't let me test ride it though...dammit

Razel, what might your inseam be? I was hoping for it to be at Ft. Worth but I guess we were a week to early

30" inseam, and I'm 5'9".

Not sure how the preload on the rear shock was set, but since I'm ~250lbs., the seat might be a bit taller with the suspension set right.

well we are close to the same size, I am 5'9", 235lbs, but with 29" inseam on a good day, guess I need to quite getting my knees fixed, when they fix them they remove some stuff in them. I had the last one fixed 11 days ago and it feels great now "LOL"

Thanks

that is a good looking ride. i'm 5'9 200 with a 31 inch inseam. that might work out for me. It looks much better than the old F650GS. If the price is right may be a good deal. I'm not willing to part with $$$ for the 1200 since i probably wouldn't ride it that much.

Gentlemen. Don't take this the wrong way, but maybe stick with the 1200cc bikes.

That looks like a lot of fun, certinaly more fun than a CT70 and maybe even more fun than a B-King.

Oh well they are all fun right?

Dave

Hey, some of us are just built for comfort, not speed (even if we do ride fast bikes)
