Exclamation 5.5 or 5

ok heres the ? if a 190 tire can fit a 5.5 rim on a honda CBR why cant a 190 fit on the 5.5 on my BMW?

Unless the smaller rim increases the height or width of the tire beyond what it normally is on the 5.5 rim, it shouldn't be an issue. the 190 sport wheel can swap back and forth with the stock wheel. no modification is required and i have done it several times.

What's the problem? I've got a 190 on the rear of my K1200R.

The CBR1000/RR has a 6 in wheel for the 190. The 5 in wheel is made for a 170 and the 5.5 is made for a 180. The 190 fits on the 5.5 but the tire is squeezed together more causing it to get tallet in the center. That means the middle of the tire wears quicker and you will not use as much of the side of the tire as you did with the 180. The tire loses its roundness and becomes pointy in the middle.
