Question Autocom, StarCom1 or Intaride ???

Hello all :
I am considering either Autocom, StarCom1 or Intaride as a suitable comms system. I need Garmin Sat-Nav voice prompts, mobile-phone and MP3 support. In addition, bike to bike comms using a PMR (Personal Mobile Radio, in the UK / EU).
What is your experience of such systems?
Thanks
John

Intercoms

I've used a couple of generations of Autocom. Their array of adapter cables is impressive and the latest units have a mutitude of jacks to connect accesories. Unfortunately, it's my experience that Autocom's quality/durability is mediocre. I've had to replace numerous headsets and cables, and the volume has never been been high enough with earplugs. Autocom says, "Use a lower attenuation earplug and you'll hear better", but I find that just increases the wind noise. Communication above about 70 MPH is very difficult. If you're riding something quieter than a K1 or K1200RS (or dont exceed 70 MPH often), you may find them acceptable.

I posted a response to this on I-BMW. First post in ages. I didn't know you had asked it here too. MAN, that site is useless! Unless you want jokes, chit-chat, jomamma (whatever that is), or polls about gore-tex suits.

Each day it goes something like this:

I-BMW, New Posts, skim, nothing, page 2, skim, nothing, Mark Posts Read.

K-Bikes, New Posts Since Last Visit, skim, new stuff about KRs, new stuff about KSs, less and less about KR Sports, see what accessory 2T has added today, slam newbies for not using search, contribute where I can, Mark Posts Read.

KTMtalk, skim, no news about 990 Supermoto yet, go back to work.

That's my morning coffee!

So, you're not happy with my long and considered response on the other site?

Oh well

Dave; you're not being fair; was I really supposed to assiciate "DavetheYank" with "DaveNZ" on this forum? Perhaps I was (and yes the Avatar's the same); so apologies if any offence caused.
For those of you wondering what this is about, Dave provided an excellent reply (including super pic; on http://www.i-bmw.com/showthread.php?t=13264
