Nice little bike

I'm on a F800S loaner today... As I was riding in to work, I was thinking, "What a nice little bike". And then, thinking back to the days of my 1962 650cc BSA Royal Star, and how 650's were not thought of as "little bikes" back then at all. I wonder how that changed? Oh well, just the musings of an old guy.

It is interesting to see the biggest and baddest bikes from the 60's and 70's like the 650 you mentioned, 900 Sportster, and 750 Norton. Compared to even a V Strom or KLR 650, they just seem so little.

The 1200cc, 560 lb. Sportster is sometimes referred to as a "learner Harley" or a girls bike! Unbelievable.

Yep, amazing ain't it.

A bike like that is considered a "beginners" bike these day.
