I Like...

Man, I like riding... man, I like my bike. Saturday was breath-taking-ly beautiful. Got geared up, mounted up and rode for about 4.5 hours in the Hill Country. Ranged from sweepers and a few twisties to chasing two guys on Busas. Me chased and then they chased. (The KR Sport is such a good bike.) What fun - we were all thumbs up.

The sky was robin blue on acid, if that's possible. Just almost hurt your eyes it was so clear and beautiful. The green colors are bursting, topped by Texas wildflowers. I like the smells, the sounds, the 30 dB-reducing ear buds (Shure products), the violent acceleration, the turns, the isolation, the freedom, the community when riding with others. The Leo Vince blast. The occasional race. The windblast. The waves of others, kids in cars, kids on bikes. The stares of wonderers wondering what it's like. The smell of leather. The cloudy vision of a hundred bugs. Cleaning the bike the next day. Dreaming of it all over again.

I like looking at our vendors Web sites and figuring out what's next. Pictures. Magazines. Videos. You Tube. Reading others posts. Waiting for the morning to go to work so I can ride. Waiting for the weekend, sometimes waiting for "permission" and sometimes leaving at 600 am and not bothering because she won't be up until 930 anyway. Talking to complete strangers as long, lost friends. Yeah.

Yeah. I like it all. You?

2007 K1200R Sport w/ Leo Vince EvoII titanium slip-on. They say that moving sucks. I rather like it, when it's on my bike.

Amen, brother. Even my 2 mile commute to work is better on the bike.

I've always like those kind of high heels too. No, no, no, don't take 'em off, leave 'em on.

So true... It's spiritual.

I like riding, and I get crabbier and crabbier every day the brick is inoperable.

Soon, the fuel injectors will be back.

Soon, my pretties. Soon...

You put into words what I have had in my head for the past 50 plus years. I have never found riding to be one bit lousy even in the worst weather or the longest distances. Riding a bike is the greatest!!!
