First post...WTB K1100RS or K10

This is my first post so, don't yell at me if I'm putting this in the wrong place!!

I used to ride a Ducati (900SS SP) and currently have a 150cc scooter (Vento Phantera GT5) I've decided needs to turn into a BMW K bike. I really want a K1100RS but it seems they are just out of range. I'd like to get a bike for approx $3500 and have found that a decent mileage K10 may fit the bill. I don't see a "for sale" forum on this site but if you've got one of the mentioned bikes above, respond to this. Pix are helpful and I'm located in Charlotte, NC so, if you're close, all the better.

BTW: I have checked ebay and the BMW MOA site and am finding some that are close but not exactly the bike I want or they are a bit too far with shipping to fit in my price range.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Bruce. I just looked out there and got really close to what I want and only a few hours away too! I really do prefer the K1100RS fairing but I found a K100RS that's not bad at all and the price is certainly right.

Thanks for the tip!!! Now, to see if it's still available.....

For what it's worth, I have an 85 K100 - solid bike.

You may find this to be VERY useful -

"What follows is based on actual occurrences. Although much has been changed for rhetorical purposes, it must be regarded in its essence as fact. However, it should in no way be associated with that great body of factual information relating to orthodox Zen Buddhist practice. It's not very factual on motorcycles, either."
