Los Angeles shops

Hi all,
I'm new to this site. I have a '98 k1200rs, and am seeking recommendations for shops in the Los Angeles area. I am particularly looking for those with personal experience regarding the customer service level and cost of repairs relative to other shops.

Also, has anyone dealt with Angel City Cycles? Their location is ideal, as they are only a few miles from where I live.

I would appreciate any input you may have.

L.A. shops

I would give Valdi of Valdi's Motozone in Torrance a call. He is just off the 110 freeway south of the 405 freeway a couple of miles if you know where that is. Valdi is a fully trained BMW mechanic. His phone number is 310-871-6355. Another independent BMW mechanic is Matt Dobner in Long Beach. His number is 562-688-3821. I have used both of these guys and they know their stuff. I cannot speak to the service at Angel City Cycles because I have never been to their shop however the owner used to be a mechanic at Marty's "BMW for Long Beach BMW bought the shop about 5 years ago.

Valdi has also worked on my K12RS. I recommend him. He seems to be a really honest person also. I used Irv Seavers also. Even though I had one prob with them I think they are one of the most experienced shops in the area and I would still recommend them. Unless LB BMW has improved dramatically, stay away.
