K1300S to have single sided front suspension?!

http://www.visordown.com/motorcyclen...mail&attr=news

Quote:
SPANISH magazine Solo Moto has snapped this next-generation BMW superbike with a single-sided front end out in action during a private track test.

The magazine is saying that the bike is the new K-model machine fitted with the outlandish-looking front suspension unit.

The bike is thought to be the firm's all-new 2009 K 1300 S, designed using the company's World Superbike entrant S 1000 RR.

Seems quite cool to me!

Geezz.. it's like the BMW design team guys sit around thinking.. "lets see how complicated and heavy we can make our next bike." They should hire an Italian on to their staff..

If it's got a single sided front.. it's NOT the upcoming 1000cc superbike.. the 1000 will have standard Ohlin forks .. as Allah intended.. No idea about the rumored 1300 bike but I suspect the Germans will make it utterly complicated like all the others they've been spitting out.. My kingdom for standard forks on my K1200S..

Nope. The 1000 RR has conventional suspension front and rear, and has a full front CF fairing. This bike looks little to nothing like it.

Show me how to bolt them on to a bike with no tubes, my friend.. and I'll sign over 1/2 the biz to you... Also.. the engine protrudes too far forward for standard forks.. or so they say..
