PIAA Lamps

My GSA came without the BMW driving lights and I would like to get some installed.

Im thinking of going the PIAA option and just mounting them straight off the tank crash bars.

From the PIAA website I think that the 510's are the right look and size but i cant seem to fathom from the info if these are high beam driving lights (spot lights) or simply aux driving lights.

Ideally I would like to be able to fit them up as high and low beam but with the R1200GS also uses CANBUS so im not sure if its possible.

I also dont seem to be able to find a retailer here in OZ online, maye a 4X4 shop but I may have to get them shipped.

Any advise or personal experiences would be very much appreciated.

Check for vibration

Before mounting to engine crash bars, check the vibration of the bars. On 1150GS bikes anyway, mounting lights on the engine bars resulted in short filament life, due to the vibes.

I know, this wasn't your question, but hope to help keep you in the light.

Got Em!
Got the PIAA 510's in fog lamp designation. Came in a kit, 2 lights, grill covers, wiring loom and switch.
AMAZON.COM had the kit for US$189.
