Roadside Help

I am a week into a two-week east coast trip from Colorado and hit a pothole on the Blue Ridge Parkway late yesterday. The front rim is bent and the the tire will only hold about 30 lbs of air. No area dealers (Greensboro or Charlotte, NC) are open until Tuesday and even then there is no assurance that they will have a rim in stock. Does anyone know an independent in NC (or Tennessee since I was on the way to Deals Gap)? I can probably limp somewhere down the road.

Wow, this is June 3rd. Hope you got help by now. I was in a similar situation traveling across the US when I broke down in Shreveport LA. That was a Sunday evening and no dealer was open til Tuesday. I ordered my alternator rotor from Bob's BMW on Monday and had them overnite to my hotel. I was back on the road by 1pm on Tuesday.

hope all is well

i have to think that joining the AMA could be as helpful as anything. currently, with a certain membership (AMA Champion, $39 a year) you get free roadside assistance, which includes towing. so help support motorcycling in america, join the AMA, and keep yourself covered!
