Stonehenge Memorial, WA

We went on a cool ride yesterday, our planned trip to go east of Mt. St Helens was nixed due to a bridge washout. So we went to Yakima on 97 (great road) to Goldendale and down to the Columbia river. Just across from Oregon on the WA state side is a replica of Sonehenge that is really worth checking out for anybody in the area.

There is also a Stonehenge replica about 4 miles outside of Hunt, Texas on FM1340 (central Texas). It's also got Easter Island heads. Something to see.

So what bridge is out that kept you from going down the backside of St. Helens?

There are actually two roads not passable. One is the hwy 25 which had a bridge wash out over the winter, and the other is the hwy 26 which takes you up to Windy Ridge. They had a slide there last summer and it still has not been repaired. The one on hwy 26 is passable if you have an off-road capable bike and there are no park rangers in sight. For the hwy 25 you can go down a bit but just not all the way through to the Columbia River like we wanted to.

Thanks for the information. There's some good riding down there. May have to take the dual sport sidecar rig and not the K bike

Isn't that near Mary, WA or somesuch? We did 14 across to that some years ago on the way to the BMW rally in Spokane. Awesome view from where the replica is. Pretty funny that somone recreated it.
