Robert, the Sony X-Series spanks the Zumo in terms of audio quality, especially since I also wear some Ultimate Ear UE-11 in-ear phones. The Zumo doesn't have the functions like an equalizer, stereo surround, and all that audiophile stuff. I just can't take crappy sound! The Ray Samuel's P-51 Mustang amplifier has a real honest-to-gosh volume knob that I can twist to run everything up and down quickly (with gloves on) without looking and pressing an array of buttons. The Zumo bugs me with all the button pressing - especially in the canyons where eyes go off the road for a bit while trying to sort through them. Zumo should have a big volume "KNOB" for gloved hands and faster operation like the Mix-It amp.
VIO recorders are just to see what's going on behind me since sometimes the rear view looks much better when the sun is directly ahead of me. I was messing with the microphone back near the muffler and got the idea to cram another camera head under the rear rack. Passing Harley's was also factored in the equation which I seem to do a lot as I cannot stand parade-riding at 18-30 mph for 30 minutes. Ugh! More like "Here they are...and there they go!"
I posted some video of the two cams running side by side in the Photography Forum here. I got a laugh out of the guy on the sport bike behind me when he told me later he was going to blast around me on the left but I just shot off and left him. He gave up and fell back in line. I was still in the testing the Power FRK mode and wanted to see if it stumbled like it normally did. Pulls really well now and no more 3200 RPM flat spot since.
Off course, I only did this after both
radar detectors were clean.
....now to find the damn cup holder...
