cool bike

Saw this bike at a suburban restaurant parking lot this weekend.

I like it. It made the builder in me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Bet it doesn't require hooking up to a computer to troubleshoot it.

It's not just you.

I love it.

It's a way cool Sportster.

Up on the Blue Ridge Parkway once, I spotted the weirdest bike I have ever seen. It was in a parking lot. Looked like it had been ridden hard for a century. The owner wallked up, a guy maybe in his late sixties or early 70s. He said he built it 25 years ago and has ridden it all over the world. Rode it in the horn of Africa. It had a Volkswagen engine, BMW transmission and who knows what else. Rear tire was nearly bald in the center. The guy said he might get a new one, one of these days, as he rode off.

I like the design of the "fully adjustable backrest" on this guy's bike (Whatever the hell it is?). He can adjust it for all 7' 8" feet of him, or slide it all the way back for his extra tall 6' 10" missy.

Nice attempt at color-matched Jessie bags too.
