Tail of the Dragon on ABC Good Morning America

I was working in my office at home this morning, and heard this on a TV in a nearby room. An ABC reporter rides a 2010 Indian motorcycle through the Tail of the Dragon. There is a 30 second ad, then a 4 1/2 minute video.

http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=9088145

Do not consider this an endorsement. Posted only because it gives notice that the Tail of the Dragon has hit the popular media.

Extra credit: See how many safety issues you can count.

Sneakers, Jeans, and 3/4 open faced helmet are not my idea of ATGATT(All the Gear All The Time). Here is a much better video of the Dragon:

But, the point is Deal's Gap on ABC

Sure, there are better videos & sure he's not wearing proper gear, and yes, sugar is bad for your teeth. The point is that ABC is of the opinion that some motorcycles going down a nice road, however slowly, is something the good old US of A cares about.

In my younger days, motorcycling was a rarity. Nowadays, we are becoming mainstream.

Note the guy with "all the gear" in the beginning on a sport bike was crossing over the yellow line then continueing to ride on the yellow line. That person will not live long no matter how much gear he has on should he continue to ride like that.

I don't think this video was about ATTGAT.

Interesting, and to see what happens when a road gets too much publicity.....!

To follow on that, here is a link, to a road that did get a lot of publicity in British Columbia, classed as one of the top riding roads in the province.......!

The video is somewhat boring......but the comments are not! From locals and other riders like me. Just excuse our language.....!

Wow that really hurt

Please lets keep the fluff bunnies off the road so that those of who really enjoy the road don't crash while laughing at these "bikers" while not focusing on the road. Thanks for the entertaining Video it was really quite funny.

Hey neighbor! Well those "riders" need to ride Palomar Mtn. or Latigo Canyon Rd. Palomar Mtn. may not be 11 miles but it has as many tight curves as road I have been on and Latigo Cyn. is the same way along with several other roads in the Santa Monica Mtns.
