David Swisher and 1.5 million miles

A little blurb in the BMW email...

An Incredible 1.5 Million Miles Milestone Reached by David Swisher

David Swisher has broken every mileage record previously set on motorcycles by reaching an amazing 1.5 million miles on his BMW K 1100 LT. David, who is a Morton's BMW in Fredericksburg, VA customer, was presented this very unique handcrafted trophy by BMW's Laurence Kuykendall at the dealership.

I looked up the distance to the moon and it "only" 230,000 miles.

David is a cyber-buddy of mine.. I spoke to him last night.. Of this monumental feat he said..

"I did not start riding BMWs till I was 43 years old. It was not something I set out to do, it just happened. It took me 26 years to do the million miles, but only 15 years to do the half million miles."

Pretty impressive any way you look at it...

Desperately seeking David Swisher's Footpeg's....

I'm looking for the footpegs that I understand he was responsible for manufacturing. Maybe just erroneous info, but I'm really tired of trying to get other pegs to work. Any help, greatly appreciated. P.S. I'm currently stationed in Naples, Italy. Riding to Rota, Spain in late January. That's why the pegs are important. well, one reason anyway. Thanks.
