He wasn't going that fast. Had he not hit the brakes he would have rode right through the corner and the cop probably would have let him go on his merry way.
Interesting question about the ABS. Had the ABS been able to save it, he likely would have stood the bike up and might have crossed the DY which the cop would definitely pull him over for. You can see the bike begin to stand up in the slow-mo before he locks it up.
This is a weak area for me and I think for most riders. I've thought about practicing slowing down in corners but have not given it the time that I should. Maybe I'll practice once they release the K1300R to the US.
