Epic fail

Since it's already spread to 1/2 a dozen motorcycle forums, I thought I'd bring it here.

A guy named Shervin decided he wanted more hp out of his ZX-10R. So he proceeded to enlarge the ram ducts through the frame with a saw...

I'm dead serious.

This is BMW's target audience for the new S1000RR.

At the least he could have used a hole saw.....it would have pobly strengthen it a little instead of weakening it ...what a hack!

Oh. Wow.

There is only one cure for stupid and it looks like this guy is working on it.

Uh, you haven't seen how he painted the brake rotors and calipers, yet, have you? Or how he's drilled many holes in his license plate to improve airflow. Guy has a few loose ends.
Think he's been banned from the ZX10R forum this was on originally ...

Reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He had an FZR-1000 and spent at least a few thousand $$$ building up the motor, getting custom titanium fasteners made, and a bunch of other crazy stuff to boost power and make the bike as light as possible. He worked on it for a number of years, even after the R1 came out and was 10s of pounds lighter and more powerful than he would ever get to. He just kept working, and as far as I know the bike never ran again.
