Aerostich Combat Boots

I just bought a pair off of Fleabay - like new - literally. The problem I'm having is in shifting - the boot seems to be just large/stiff enough that I sometimes miss an upshift. Is this a case where I need to lower my pegs - break in the boots some more or what?

I like the fit and protection, but this bothers me....

BTW the bike in question is a 2004 GT, and the shift lever is already adjusted to the forward postion.

"What follows is based on actual occurrences. Although much has been changed for rhetorical purposes, it must be regarded in its essence as fact. However, it should in no way be associated with that great body of factual information relating to orthodox Zen Buddhist practice. It's not very factual on motorcycles, either."

Beemer01, Same problem with my new combats last week. I also have a GT, felt like the boots were way too baulky, just need to break them in more.

You can file the tabs/stops on the shifter, that would give you more adjustability, but there is also an adjustment behind the muffler for the up and down.
