Incongruity

Warning: Low in Motorcycle Content.

Last week I rode my KGT from California to Arizona. On the way I stopped in Blythe, CA for dinner. I decided to take a slow ride through town, looking for something other than the usual fast food fare, when I encountered the Ocean View Apartments.

That's right, in Blythe, which in the middle of the Mojave Desert, about 200 miles from the Pacific to the west, or 170 miles from the Gulf of California to the south.

The photos do not do it justice, but I wanted to share them.

You gotta love a sense of humor. Even if it does seem a bit desperate.

Maybe they're just getting ready for when the polar ice caps melt and the oceans rise!

You should have gone and asked the manager the story behind the sign. Might be worthwhile.

Be my guest. The phone number is on the sign. Remember to share what you learn with the rest of the class.
