Saw the email from Escort yesterday. Kind of pricey aren't they Mack? Are they that much better than the Techmount unit I bought from Jerry at The Pirates' Lair? Come to think of it, that cost near $100, too. This is an expensive sport!

Yeah. They are sort of pricy, but they are nice. I'd almost bet they are the Techmounts with some rubber straps added.

I just looked on my GT and I have two Techmounts: One for the MP3 player on the left side that goes to the Autocom Pro-AVI mixer, and the second on the right side holding an aircraft "Air Collision Sensor" that picks up their 'Bear-in-the-Air' too. The Escort detector is on that Jungle-Jim billet aluminum thing made by the GadgetGuy that isn't exactly cheap either.

Nice that they have mounting kits. How 'bout some water-proof models or some kit that keeps the existing RD dry when it's raining outside?

I'd buy one. Better yet, why not make them splash proof to begin with, just vent on bottom.
