RC51 go boom

A friend of mine crashed his trackbike last year at Thunderhill. It was on videotape, so he edited it into a short video file. I was asked to compress it for the web, host it, and put in some slow motion sequences, so enjoy. BTW, the bike was demolished. At the scene, he looked down at his sleeve and saw some blood dripping. Compound fracture!

Left side, belly-slide blowing off face shield then tumble. Damn that hadda hurt! Looks like during belly-slide he oriented self and saw barrior wall approaching and extended his arm in reflexive action starting the log roll. I know in real time it all happens so fast that you you are not really spending too much time in thought, just react.
Hope he's made full recovery.

Yes, he's made a full recovery, although with some reminders of all the titanium in his right elbow that was shattered. This actually happened two years ago, and he's going back to racing this year with a GSX-R750.
