A Near-Tragedy

I'm new to the board and to BMW motorcycles and I recently bought a 2007 K1200R Sport. I haven't had a chance to really get the feel of the bike yet, and I've only done about 60 on it... if only it were warmer here in Kentucky.

Well I pull out of my driveway today.. Cold tires + touchy throttle + RH turn = Drifting.. Right? Well actually on a motorcycle it equals getting, as they call it squirrely. Somehow, though, I managed to keep it up. I figure I just hit the throttle and it pulled me up out of it, but whatever I did was a total reflex, which I am thankful to have. Wouldn't have been a total tragedy, but I would have felt like utter balls because of it.

Thanks for listening!
