BMW Fined $3 Million for Late Notice of Safety Defects Violations

This comes as no surprise to many of us who have experienced lack of urgency related to recalls on widely-know defects. This paragraph from the USA Today story was particularly interesting:

"A number of motorcycle models were also recalled. In all but one case where NHTSA claimed that BMW filed late were related to motorcycles."

2010 Honda Goldwing and Uni-go Trailer
2009 BMW K1300GT -- Gone
2006 HD VRSCR (Street Rod) -- Gone
1999 BMW R1100RT -- Gone
1982 Yamaha Seca 750 -- Gone

Unbelievable. It's no wonder why so many people love the product and hate the company...

I gotta agree with the poster below the article, "Wonder how much it costs to put the Roundel on that page?" Effin' hilarious!
