Looking for Help - Autocom install in Schubert C2 helmet

I started to install the autocom in a new C2. I removed the 2 screws that supposedly hold in the cheek pads but I'm not able to separate the pads from the helmet to get access to the liner. I've looked over the autocom fitment instructions but I've found no other suggestions. I had no problem installing the autocom in my old C1. Does anyone have suggestion on how to loosen the cheek pads?

I did mine a few months ago.

The side piece has a back tail that dovetails under the main foam piece. It is also partially glued.

Pull and wiggle it down and forward. You will also have to detach some of the glue on the cloth.

They also tell you not to remove any foam for the ear speaker installation.
If you don't, you won't be able to fit you head back into the helmet when you are done. I'm sure they put that in there to CYA for insurance reasons.

I removde mine with a Dremel roto-tool.

I purchase last years model without the individual volume controls. I wear foam ear plugs and my wife doesn't. I had to go to the custom ear plugs with speakers built in to hear anything. I have since removed the speakers and left only the mike.

If you have the new model, that's no longer an issue.

Good luck.

PS. Make sure your sun visor works before you button it up.
