BMW involved in high speed chase

I wonder what model? K1200S? R? New GT? Cause it couldn't have been one of those old pokey Flying Brick or Boxer BMWs.

This was funny:
"If Voss had hit even an animal as small as a prairie dog at 150 mph, he would have crashed, Smith said. "
Probably would not have felt a thump at that speed.

The other part about still having a quarter tank of gas left cracked me up as well. When my bike says it has a quarter tank, it still has 75-80 miles left. Probably coulda slipped back into Wyoming.

Hard to get away on a highway... Back roads maybe, but on the highway there isn't any place to hide.

Isn't it obvious what kind of bike he was on?

A K1200GT. 2003 Probably, but maybe a 2004.

Oh, and definitely the fast blue color.

BULLSHIT........... '04 GT, Peidmont Red. Definately fastest color. Regularly 130.
Z-6's, NGK iridium plugs, Escort 8500 X-50. Not even the slightest vibration in mirrors.

130 for red? Well, wasn't red. Red is further away from the speed of light than any other color, donchano.

Clocked at 133, and the 150 is just speculation on someone's part, qualified or not (probably not...how often is someone tested for accurate observation of those speeds?)

While above the limit of an "R" bike, any '98 and above K bike could've easily hit the clocked speed, and some may be able to hit the stated "150". Howevah, ya gotta be wary of what you read in the newspaper these days. It ain't about accuracy anymore, it's what sells...

Razel: it's Peidmont Red, not just red.

I own a 04 Peidmont Red and it is a lot faster than my 02. The 02 was silver and red, but not enough red.

I have had it at the rev limiter in High gear. with the bags on!!
So you will have to figure out the speed cause I have had way too much VO whisky tonight.

The speedo read 160+. It is real hard to concentrate on a gauge at that speed but it was in the 160+ area.

With the bags off it gets there a lot sooner.

The Flash
So fast you can't see me. Z

PS. the 02 could only do 155MPH with the bags on.
Could the Remus Exh. on the Peidmont Red do it?
