Harley owner buys a beemer

Not exactly K bike business but this guy is chronicling his switch from Harleys to Beemers. I was sort of in the same boat when I started shopping. My shopping evolved from looking at harleys to buying the K1200R so I'm interested in seeing his take on the switch.

JD, you went from looking at HD to getting a K1200R, must have been some learning curve.
So far the blog sounds similar to a friend. Always rode HD, bought a '04GT and his comment was he never realized motorcycles were that good. He has added a GS last time I saw him and I don't see him often as he is ALWAYS on the road or off the road.

JD - Thanks for the shout out. I've been meaning to drop a bug over here that I was writing about the HD to BMW transition - but as I don't have a K-Bike, I wasn't sure how to do it...

Anyways, I'll be tracking both my experiences and general BMW/HD and other motorcycle news of interest. Let me know if there is anything else you'd like me to hunt down data on...

I was a twenty-year HD rider before getting my 04RS. I have never looked back. My wife still rides her HD and wishes I would get another. If I do by another HD it will be in addition to the RS and used for going to the grocery store, mowing the lawn or anything else you would use a tractor for. ;-)

Twenty eight years on harleys myself. After switching to BMW the only thing I like about a harley is passing one.I loved my LT,my first BMW,but am really loving and enjoying my 03 GT.No more harleys for me.
