whats done on 6000 @ 12000 Service?

Can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction to find what is done on a 6k service and what is done at 12k by the dealer for a 04 K12GT?

I cannot tell you the details but the last step in the operation is to extract a couple hundred buck or more from the Asset side of your Balance Sheet.

what's done?

i can give u my experience on my '04kgt. it now has 35k miles and since 12k service, i got the clymer book and service my bike myself. i paid dealer $475 for both 6 and 12k service. of course, they change oil and filter, but out of necessity i did my own 24k service. guess what? the valve covers had never been off to check valves. i also replaced my air cleaner and fuel filter at 24k. the air cleaner had been replaced previously at the dealer. other than fluids, not much was done to my bike. advice???? i'd get the clymer manual and dig in!!!!!

Thansk a lot. Exactly what I wanted. I noticed that the previos owner never had the 600 mile service done. Is thin anything to be concerned about? I changed ALL the fluids when I got it but this iductive speed sensor wasnt checked, hose clamps werent checked and rear wheel retaining bolts werent checked on the 6000 mile it just had. SHould I have them do it now? Thanks

I think that they change the oil...maybe the oil filter if youre lucky and they like you. If they really like you...they may air up your tires! I'm shooting for 50K miles doing nothing more than fluid changes and tires! Bike seems fine...I'm halfway there!
