Fork oil on an 04' GT???

Does anyone know if fork oil changes are needed on the GT?

It is not listed on the service schedule. Someone may know better than I, but I would not worry about it until they start leaking. Then you'll want to replace the fork oil, seals and dust covers all at the same time. It is a pretty easy job, if you have access to a lift. One way to do it is to hang the front end of the bike over the edge of the lift and drop the fork tubes out the bottom. That way you do not need to take the handlebars apart.

Just if they start leaking. They're not part of the how the front suspension works, just tubes sliding in another.
