Driving lights and cooling

I've seen/read numerous posts on the subjects of PIAA 1100X driving lights and keeping this nuclear reactor cool, but nothing on them combined. I'd like to put the PIAAs on my '04 K12RS, but am concerned they will block airflow to the radiators. With all the highway construction in St. Louis, I'm getting to spend a lot of "quality" time in slow traffic. The bike already struggles enough coping with the 90+ degree air temperatures, hot asphalt and stop & go traffic. I don't want to further aggravate matters. So, any issues with airflow once those lights are tucked up under the oil cooler and presumably blocking some airflow to the radiators?

67k miles, 3 1/2 years, all with PIAA's in all kinds of riding conditions, like summer city stop & go, and 105F temps across Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. The over-temp light has only come on one time, and that was in 70F temperatures, following traffic up a Colorado mountain at 30MPH. It seems like 30MPH is the point at which the load on the engine is generating more heat load than the radiators can remove: you aren't moving fast enough, and the fans aren't large enough.

Sierra Cement: Good for skis, bad for knees.

Bruce
If your bike is running a little hot in only 90 weather. Buy a new radiator cap. They seem like the weak link in the cooling system.

Go to Amazon, thats where I got mine for a full $60 cheaper than Pirates.

and I haven't had a problem with the heat, it's 90+ and humid today too.
