31L topcase is off the bike

I use the topcase for long trips but have decided to take it off since I think it takes away from the overall look of the GT. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I took my 40-whatever liter top case off, I thought it was extremely ugly. Some lucky forum member got a sweet deal on it. My bike looks much better now than here:

JC, you need to release that beast from the wire cage man... that's cruel!

Nice bike.

You're right...

This is a little better. You can't see it, but it was the day after I got my Remus Ti exhaust. The top case came off a week later. Done a lot of riding since, but no pics...

A more flatter Givi case (one without helmet storing considerations) in around the 30L range or smaller would have been something I would have readily bought, as the my main use for a tailbag would be to carry my laptop....

Seems to me a top case is for storage and not eye appeal. If you need it put it on, if you don't take it off...that's why it is quick release.

But the Givi mount is UUUUGLY!!!

I've got the Pirate's Lair backrest, and I'm ordering one of those soft bags. When they're off, there's nothing to see. When riding alone the lines of the bike aren't ruined by some ugly cheap oversized top case.

I did like the convenience of it, though. I preferred to ride only with the top case, no side cases. I just couldn't get over the appearance.
