I feel the need,,,,,,For a Seat

I am looking to get a new seat for my 04 GT. I need to know if anybody knows were to get a good aftermarket seat----with heat---- if possible. I like the Corbin, however they do not make it with heat......
The issue I have with the current seat is that it pushes me too far forward.

Any suggestions.

I think that Corbin now makes heated seats for the K1200GT.

Thumbs up try Sargent

I don't know if Sargent sells a heated seat, but they do make a great aftermarket saddle. They used to do a seat pan exchange. Maybe they still do it.

only one seat

i went thru the aftermarket seat thing, corbin, sargent and could have saved a bit of money if i had listened. for all day riding, i finally had to go to a russell. best move i ever made. remember, for true riders, form follows function. i can ride from tampa to boone, nc, nonstop, walk in my house and feel like i have been in an easy chair for 12hrs. trust me..........

Seat

Hey Stefan,
Have you researched these guys? http://kontourseat.com/_wsn/page3.html I have one for my 2000 K1200RS. Great quality and workmanship. I did 13 hrs. in the saddle last year when I went to the BMW rally in Vermont, from Charlotte NC. Not sure about the heat. Give them a call or drop them an e-mail, they are great people and respond quickly.

I spoke to Brian at Corbin yesterday for about 20 minutes. He stated that demand is not there to make a heated seat for the Classic version. They do have them on there site fro the new bikes

I don't recall the sources, but a couple of folks in the past mentioned that the BMW comfort seat, which is heated, is as good as (or even better) than the Corbin seat for the classic GT

I had Rick Mayer make the seat for my '04 GT 2 years ago. I had the same concern as you. I had him add foam to the front, which took care of it for me. Heat is maintained. No regrets. Go to http://www.rickmayercycle.com. He used my seat in his "saddle gallery".....click on "K12RS/GT" in the BMW listing.

I belive that this may be the ticket for me. I spoke to Ken there today for about 30 minutes and found them to be most knowledgable about the whole thing, and, I get to keep the heat

Any more suggestions from anybody before I jump in on this

Thank you again for your input on this milkman, by the by, is the seat in the picture leather. If so, any reason for this, I was thinking about Basket Weave vinyl
