You might want to pay more attention.......

when your riding through an intersection.
NEVER trust other drivers even though you may have "the right of way". "Pay attention" or "Pay with your life". Idiots are out there every where. Keep your head on a swivel.

Bare witness to what happens if your not on your toes at intersections......................

I couldn't agree with you more. Twice in the last year I have had people run red lights when I was heading for an intersection. I'm not talking about green to red transition time. I'm talking about half way thru the cycle. What was common denominator?, Cell phones.

Is it just me, or did the idiot driving the car not seem to have too much concern for the person lying on the ground injured?

The hardest part of teaching my ex to drive (many years ago) was getting her to realize the H U G E difference in what people SHOULD do and what they MIGHT do.

Knowing that (and being constantly aware of it) has saved my bacon countless times (knock-on-wood).

His lack of conceren is not surprising. When something dramatic happens like that, people get zoned out sometimes like their in shock. They don't know how to respond to a dramatic or shocking incident. At every emergency I've been involved with, I'm always amazed at how the general public just stands there and watchs and don't get involved........for what ever the reason they may have, they don't act. At every accident scene, it seems like I'm the one directing people what to do until emergency responders arrive. People will generally act after you tell them what to do, they just don't seem to get involved until directed to do so. Just think how many lives could be a saved each year if everyone knew CPR. Can you administer CPR correctley? If you ride a bike I think you should be able to. I think they should make it part of the rider training program.

They ARE out to get you

When vulnerable,I never accept someone's turn signal as gospel. They may have meant to turn and changed their minds, they may have forgotten that they meant to,and signalled a turn.

My gf sometimes looks at me strangely and says Why didn't you go?They're turning?

I always say,"THEY" are undead. You never know what THEY might do.But,they want my brain.I protect it.
