I'm not sure that many K1200 riders are bothered about eliminating the fender.
I've fitted an extender to the front fender, and am currently looking for a hugger for the rear, to reduce the amount of muck sprayed about the bike.
Don't fancy the reaction I'd get from my pillion if she got even more spray off the back wheel!

Sorry for stating something that I thought was obvious on my bike. Does the KRS have the 'adjustable' mud guard? Is this inadequate?

yes they do, I mod a extended front fender that was on my 1150RT to fit my K so it reduces the damage to the fairing

Not aware of a fender eliminator, but a very common mod for the old KRS / KGT is to cut the rear fender off with a dremel tool. A search of the archives will provide instructions. Basically you cut it between the top and bottom sets of screws for the license plate, thus allowing you to bolt the bottom half back on if desired.

Sierra Cement: Good for skis, bad for knees.
