Newbie Questions: (2)

First of all, HI to everyone on this forum. I have enjoyed reading quite a few of the threads and proud to be a new member. In my readings I noticed several references to acronyms I don't know. With that in mind, can someone from this forum please answer my next two questions?
1: What is (ATGATT)?
2: What is (CAN BUS)?
The first one I have read being used concerning safety issues and PPE equipment; and the second being used during posts about electrics. I am trying to become a knowledgeable owner and some day add a thread or post that is helpful to others.
I am the Proud owner of a 2004 K1200GT RED (the sexiest color).

I know, grey/green or blue are supposed to be the fastest colors (just ask the grey/green or blue owners).
Anyway, thanks for reading my post and any help is appreciated. Paul

ATGATT is all the gear, all the time. The CAN BUS refers to the electrical system on the newer bikes that makes it difficult to accessorize.

I had the blue version of your '04 KGT and loved it. I put 20k on it in less than a year and found it comfy and fast. Now I ride the K1200R Sport.

Welcome to the forums,

Gravity

Just asking questions is helpful! I see that you're in LV. There is a group of BMW riders from all over going to Death Valley for a weekend of 'hanging out'.
Learn more at http://bmwsporttouring.com/ubbthread...page=0&fpart=1

They folks over at that site are mostly BMW RT folks, but theyre are a lot of K1200 people, and we frequent both sites. WELCOME!

By the way, your 2004 does NOT have CANBUS.

And yes, Green is the fastest.

That was special for "Christmas", doesn't count. Let's talk about the Leopard print.
