tupperware removal 2000K1200RS

I'm stuck. I feel like I ahve all the screws out of the side panels but something is still stuck up front. Do you have to remove the wiendhshield uprights? Is there a diagram or some sort of procedure for this in some manual?

I can't remember exactly because it's been a few years, but I believe there might be a plastic tab that pops in (similar to around the gas tank). It may take some force to pop it out. But I'm sure there is someone who has done it on that bike more recently who can say for sure.

Heh...

Or, more specifically, http://www.gunsmoke.com/motorcycling/k1200rs/index.html

There are plastic tabs on top of the side panels that attach to the fuel tank cover, but before you get there you have to "pop" the side panel away from the side of the bike. There's a rubber grommet in the frame and a wedged-shape knob on the panel that pops into it.

....Nice site.....Throw it on your desk top...Comes in handy .....OH...and get a nice little jar.....like a babyfood jar or something like that.....wrap a pice of masking tape around it.....get a black magic marker.....a permenate type is best....make sure that the cover is still in good condition.....then after you have put all the plastic back on.....you have a nice little container to put all those extra panel screws in and keep for the next time you pull it apart .....
