The one you're looking at IS fuel injected, gobbles gas and has a small tank (that deceptively looks big). Welcome to the club.

Now we could start a thread on whether that's a good thing to have or not, now our government wants us to have greener low emission vehicles! Good thing they're only talking about cars.

Let me start a Green Thread. SCREW GREEN!!!!!!!!! GREEN THIS!!! I'm sick of it. Our planet is fine and anyone who is arrogant enough to believe Man could possibly destroy her, after all she has been through, is a fool. Go to the NASA website and look at the satellite imagery of the earth and where the pollution is. It ain't the USA that's for sure. Our air is the cleanest ever, period. They're never satisfied. GREEN people need to get a life, and a real job. There, that felt GOOD!

Hey roadster1,

My 1987 K100LT is fuel injected, and I believe the 1985s are as well. I seriously doubt that at any point between '85 to '98 BMW ever built a carburated K bike. What I find very odd however, is that there are 2003 K1200LTs still built with radio and CASSETTE players. It appears that Germans coudn't keep up in the field of electronics for a while.

Both my '85 KRT and '04 KRS are fuel-injected. I for one could never go back to a carburetor on anything other than my lawnmower.

Something I discovered recently was that BMW used 'Bing' carbs on the older bikes. Our K-Bikes have throttle bodies still made by the same company.
