Front End Feels Funny Again

I've been riding this bike for over 2 years now [54K] and maybe I've just grown used to the slow speed awkwardness of the K12RS front end.

In the last several weeks I've ridden friend's K12S, CBR929, and Aprilia Futura. Hopping back on the K12RS was to experience front end horrible all over again. Recent tire. Proper air pressure [high]. Ohlins shock. Hypro damper. Banged the axle before tightening the pinch bolts.

How'd they sell these things new after a typical 'round the block' demo ride [its worst habitat]? I love everything else about this bike but jeepers it's a creepy slow speed handler. Feels like the front tire is absolutely flat.

Do others experience the same? I gotta ride someone else's K12RS.

It's normal. The weight of this bike is very noticeable at parking lot speeds.

Yea, I agree with BigHaus. Weight is very noticeable at low speed. I commute daily on mine, so I guess I've gotten used to it. The bike is so sweet at higher speeds, tho. It's worth putting up with.

mmm, that's about it.
Had a Staintune exhaust on it, but I took it off because it pops when you roll off the throttle. I hate that.

See if you can "demo" ride one at the stealership?

But, based on the ones you listed, yeah, it's going to appear to be a bit heavy at low (below 15mph) speed. Normal. Just don't ride their bikes anymore and you should be fine.

It's real important to keep your weight off the bars. When I finally realized that and transferred the weight to my gut, low speed maneuverability was much better.
