RS wind screen

I need to replace the windscreen on my 2002 K12RS, ( I just bought the bike and it has some color etched artwork), I like the size of this one and want the same one. I rode it in the rain on the highway to try and gauge the effectiveness and size. I dont know if it is original but it has a BMW logo button on it. It measures 16-3/4" from top to bottom. I looked on the internet and saw much aftermarket support, but I would like to just buy this once. There are part numbers on it 45.63-7 653 382 if this is a factory screen I might be better off getting one at a dealer. If you could look at your screen for these part numbers I would much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Kevin

Look here

Parts Fiche

The Tall screen is what BMW called their comfort screen. Some like it, some don't.

Common replacements are those made by Aeroflow, Parabellum, and Z-Technic. Do a search on windscreens here and you'll find lots of info.

Like here... just a few days ago.

I tried to buy a new one from Bikebandit.com, because they sell OEM parts. I thought I was saving money at 125.00. I waited 10 days and what showed up on the porch was a 4" square box. I knew immediately this 4" box was not a windscreen. It was an air filter, (the last 3 digits of the part # are the same.) I tried to call bikebandit.com who has no phone number, you can either e-mail them or use the live chat function. I tried the live chat function for a quicker response. What I got was an hour spent on the live chat room even though I started out giving them the part# of what I ordered and the part # of what I got. Now since I have paid them I must wait for what might be the correct screen. Isn't that why part numbers are unique? I guess I should have supported the local dealer and I wouldn't see myself waking out with a 4" box.

I guess that you did not try any of the discount BMW dealer/parts houses like Chicago BMW or Hammersley BMW????
