help with faded display glass

What do you guys use to clear up a faded indicator light glass? My indicator light glass is faded and dull. I tried using some blue plastic refinisher from the autoparts store, but it didn't work.
Any ideas?

Thanks

glass

This side there is/was a place called Nova. They sold a substance that would polish out cracks and fading. I recall seeing a guy use it on a yacht screen that was really wrecked by the Queensland sun. He polished a clear hole in the centre so he could see through. Would not finish the job because it was not his yacht.

Too bad it's sold but there must be more out there from bikes being parted out. Check E-bay or post here "wanted"

thanks. i saw that ad as well. I hate the fact that they post stuff that has already been sold. it makes it look like they have a lot of inventory i guess.

Have you tried Plexus? Its a plastic cleaner, protectant & polish. Available at most MC shops.

Also there is an aircraft windscreen cleaner & polish available from Cee Bailey. This might be hard to use on such a small, hard to get at area, but might be worth a shot.

If the plastic wasn't so damned expensive and may very well be an impossible job to do, you could replace it for $150.00. http:http://tinyurl.com/5rqyon

Are your handlebar switches faded or have a white crusty film on them also?
