surely somebody has tried this before and failed miserly, so lets try again ...
...how about a little bay area meet and greet and get together - i figure that in a K-only meet, we could finally share the truth: expensive, ugly, heavy, underpowered and NOT FOR SALE.
once that is established, a quick jolt through the bay areas finest would be in order i guess.

Well, since I got my '06 K12R in December of '08, I missed this thread and opportunity... Anybody want to re-do this event?? I live in San Ramon, just north of Pleasanton/Dublin.
I know of one other K12R rider, Al, works at the Mountain View BMW dealer. He's taken his to the track... :yeow: Must be nice to have employee discounts on parts... :teeth
Say when, I ride all year round. Don't understand those that don't/won't... :dunno:
Iehawk (Al) is a member here to, but doesn't post that much. Now that the cast is off, I'm looking for some riding time again, too. Trying to determine if Al wants to ride down to Long Beach for the motorcycle show, but so far, haven't been able to get a commitment
sacramento here, I might be interested. Depends on weather this time of year. I am gradually bevoming a fair weather rider. I went out last night and froze my arse off.
Mountain View, Moodesto, San Hose... Y'all chime in if you want to get together, I can do the logistics if there's multiple folks coming. :thumbup
Also, to any of you that are unaware, there's a website (fairly popular, I've heard) called BARF, stands for BayAreaRidersForum.com, and is a great resource for damned near everything. Even bike stuff.
Let me know, shoot me a PM or email or whatever, let's do this...
Hello, I am in Mountain View. Noticed the 06 K12GT in Marin Phil's bike list:

'06 K12GT Blue of course!_Sold-too many problems
I own one today, of boy, do I share the comments. I bought my K12GT several months ago and been working on the idle issues, gas leaks etc. After spending 800 bucks on parts etc, still does not idle correctly. What a junk. Mine is blue as well with toooo many problems.

First of the breed. Just move on brother. Now my present K13S is perfect in every way. Get one while they last!
