ABS flash...is it fast or slow? Fast means a self-check failed, slow means it hasn't seen the bike move to verify the ABS rings have moved. Warning light could mean the rear bulb is out.

Something to check before taking it into service.

Here is a an overview of the EVO ABS brakes. Check the last page on the lights.

Also is the ABS warning light sequence.

Do you have a riders manual in the compartment on underside of the seat?

I have had issues with my abs light since I bought it last year. The switch attached to the rear brake lever is very sensitive to dirt or small rocks which will lead to an abs failure for the back brakes and knock out the servo and the two warning lights will flash. Front brakes are not effected. If you look at the rear brake lever from ground level you will see a strip of fairly light metal about 1/2" wide that contacts a bolt as the brake lever is depressed. Usually just moving that metal strip around or blowing some compressed air throught that whole area will clean it out and put you back in business.

I posted a couple weeks ago about my abs light flashing...Have 34000 miles on a 03K1200GT....Rear brakes were not working with servo.....I cleaned the pick up sensor and the pickup wheel....been working for the last 1000 miles with no problem. The distance from the sensor and the pick up wheel were way out also....May check this area also. My have to pull rear wheel and caliper off to clean good....
