My Baby Poops Moonrock?!!!!!!

The second time I fired up the Flaming Buffalo when I blipped the throttle to around 4 or 5 thousand little igneous rock looking dudes flew out of the can . Maybe two or three pieces each of the three times I blipped the throttle. They were all about the same size roughly 1/4" rhomboid or pyramid shaped. I picked one up and that sucker burnt my fingers duhhh. My exhaust is not the same as the stock ones I see for sale on ebay, it has a Remus can connected to an oval stainless can under the motor (is this a cataclysmic converter?). Anybody have any ideas regarding the moon come igneous rock projectiles? I know you wouldn't be wanting to ride behind me!!

do they look like these?

these are probably tumbling rocks from a surface finishing process at the exhaust manufacturer.

Or a kid was bored and dropped them in your exhaust...

Looks just like them

Looks just like them other than mine are blackish brown, but after being heated up I suppose with a little oil we'ed expect that! There is some rash on the tailpipe tip of the can, maybe the rocks were scooped up into the can if the bike slid bassackwards? Got Me!!

Check the catalytic convertor - tap it w/a rubber mallet. If it sounds like it's filled with rocks, it's shot. I've seen this on cars, but would be the first I've hear of here.
