We've beat this do death over here before.

I myself use a proprietary mix of approximately 78 percent
nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen and traces of a few other exotic
gases in my tires.

Hype ?

IF there is an improvement, I suspect you'd need lab level equipment to measure it.

If anyone has actual DATA, I'd like to see it.

"What follows is based on actual occurrences. Although much has been changed for rhetorical purposes, it must be regarded in its essence as fact. However, it should in no way be associated with that great body of factual information relating to orthodox Zen Buddhist practice. It's not very factual on motorcycles, either."

It's always been my understanding that pure nitrogen can make certain substances dry and brittle. I don't know if it'd apply to tire compounds, but if it were me, I'd contact a tire manufacturer for their take on it before I did it.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen is used in aircraft tires because it runs cooler than straight air, it does not support combustion and it does not react with tire compounds. Using it in motorcycle tires would seem to be a waste of money unless you're racing. NASCAR uses nitrogen in their tires for the same reasons cited for aircraft.

Nitrogen

Nitrogen molecules do not expand as the tire heats up so you have little to no gain in tire pressure. The pressures remain constant throughout your ride. The advantage I would see in using nitrogen is using it where you are on long tours in very hot climate conditions. If you have easy and affordable availability to nitrogen, there is nothing wrong with using it. In short. if you can't get it for free then forget it because it will not be worth the trouble.
