While riding my 1988 K1200RS the engine just cut out and when I tried to restart it will not restart but unburnt fuel is evident. I have checked all fuses and wiring any ideas what I should ckeck next?
Check for spark at the plugs...but make sure you pull the fuse for the fuel pump first.... pull all your plugs and take them out of the spark plug boots and set them aside...crank your motor over to clear out any fuel or fumes then put a plug back in the boot one at a time...crank motor see if you have spark...do the same with each one...and depending how many times you have cranked it to try and start the motor I would also do an oil change to get all that washed down gas out of the crank case.....if you have spark and your sure your getting fuel i would suspect bad gas....this would be a good start...good luck!
Get an ECU readout of fault codes. I'd suspect the crank sensor or ECU.
