k1200rs checkerboard fairing

I just got back from Yosemite.
I picked up a nail and while at lunch my tire went flat and fell over.
My beautiful right fairing is toast.
I hear the OEM is about $1500.
Is there a better idea or someone who can resurface and put on the decal?

The checkerboard is just an add on sticker. I would just take it to a local body shop, have them repaint it , then buy the sticker.

It might just be a sticker, but I've read that its expensive, a real PITA to install, and easy to ruin during the install. You might take it to a placed that does "Clear-Bras" or specialize on graphic wraps to install it.

Sierra Cement: Good for skis, bad for knees.
